Within every school one of the most basic needs that exists among its students and families is food. We want to help schools in their efforts to help their students. We are working in conjunction with the Regional Food Bank to help schools with existing food pantries to keep them stocked with food. The statistics are staggering - 1 in 4 students struggle with hunger in Oklahoma. By helping provide this basic need we can bring life to our city and love our schools.
Food Drive at OKC Community: November 2017
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Food Drives: we will hold food drives at OKC Community at various times.
- Next scheduled drive is November 2017. We are helping Northwest Classen High School reopen and stock their pantry that has been closed since last school year.
- Bring non-perishable food items between November 12 - 19 to OKC Community.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Ask the local school you are connected to about how they help students and families who need food. If they have a pantry and need restocking you can get a small group of friends or other parents in the school to organize a food drive or contact us and we'll help you.
CAN WE HELP YOUR SCHOOL?
If you are a teacher, administrator, or parent and your school has a food pantry and you'd like to see if we can help, please fill out the form and we'll get back to you.
